Herbert River Junior AGM

Hi All We will be holding our 2017 Annual General Meeting on TUESDAY 25th JULY at the cricket clubhouse starting at 7.00pm At the AGM all Executive and Committee member positions for 2017/18 will be available for nomination. Please consider taking on a role as we all know, many hands make light work. Sadly, in the last few seasons the majority of the roles I have listed below have been completed by just a couple of volunteers so it would be fantastic if more of our parents would consider taking on a role or even sharing with a friend..... It would a terrible shame it junior cricket stopped functioning because of a lack of volunteers. The positions to be filled for the coming season are as follows: Executive positions - Filled at AGM

* Junior Director/President

* Junior Vice President

* Junior Treasurer

* Junior Secretary Committee/Volunteer Roles - (You may remember some of these roles are on the Player's registration form but we need to get things organised asap)

* Junior Registrar - To help Executive co-ordinate Junior sign on, registering of junior players to MY CRICKET, collection of registration paperwork and registration fees.....

*Statistics Officer/s- Keep player and team statistics for trophy presentations, ideally upload these game and player statistics to MY CRICKET on a regular basis.....

*Representative Cricket co-ordinator- Contact and negotiate with Charters Towers, Home Hill and other clubs looking for matches, organise dates for our draw, organise rep man of match trophies, scoresheets, etc....

*Member Protection Officer- New role. Officer co-ordinates Blue card register and co-ordinates various member protection guidelines.....

*Coordinate Draw - Organise season draw to include local matches, rep matches, NQ trials, Super 8s, holidays, etc.........

* Canteen Convenor – To organise canteen, purchase drinks, food, manage float & takings, make up canteen roster, coordinate for Rep days, Super 8s, etc......

* Clothing Co-ordinator – to co-ordinate the ordering of junior HR clothing, HR hats for the coming season.....

* Fundraising/Sponsorship Co-ordinator – To maintain current donations and trophy sponsorships and to seek out new sponsorships, get prizes and donations for raffles and Sign on/ super 8s days......

* Media Officer/Co-ordinator – To do write-ups for HR Express, look at starting a website and/or face book pages updated with latest news and events.....

* Equipment Co-ordinator – Purchase cricket balls for matches, training equipment and help purchase equipment and set up and manage kit bags for Juniors.....

* Clubhouse Co-ordinator- Cleaning out and maintaining clubhouse rooms, kitchen, toilets, hosing out blowing out, etc.....

*Coaching Coordinator(Paul Menegon has kindly offered to fill this role again)......

* Grounds/Building – Mowing, poisoning, whipper-snipping, grounds and building maintenance (David Vettoretto & Steve Carrara have been doing this but more helpers would be welcomed with open arms).....

*Saturday Team Manager..... Saturday Umpire..... Saturday Scorers.....

We need as many members/parents as possible to attend the AGM or to contact us and help us fill these roles. The more people we have helping, the smaller each role will be, and it will share the workload. If you would like to know any more information about any of the above roles or would like to discuss nominating for a role please do not hesitate to contact me and I more than happy to help...... Even if you do not intend on fulfilling any of the committee roles we would still love to see you at the meeting and have your input and remember to spread the word that junior cricket is fun, its open to boys and girls, its affordable and its played locally.....
