Junior Cricketers Fire Up for 2018/19 season

Local junior cricket for local boys and girls aged 9-17 yrs old is ready to kick off and thanks to our hard working volunteers, Butler Park looks great as the 2018/19 cricket season fast approaches. Both boys and girls can once again look forward to Saturday morning fixtures, representative games, mid-season finals and mixing with a host of great young cricketers while developing and showing their talents.

A ‘Sign On’/come and try day and social matches will be held on Saturday 8th and 15th of September at Butler Park from 9.00am to 11.30am. Once again we are asking parents to fill out registration forms with payment on ‘Sign On’ day and come and enjoy a fun morning of cricket action. If you can’t attend one of the ‘sign on’ day`s just email stevencarrara1@bigpond.com or paulkimhobbs1@bigpond.com to nominate your child for a team. This year we will also be offering online registration, parents

are encouraged to pre-register their chid online at playcricket.com.au. Every registered child will receive a playing shirt. The first round of fixtures is planned for Saturday 6th of October.

Training for juniors will commence under the guidance of coaching director, Steven Carrara with day`s and times yet to be confirmed (during school term time). Registered and interested players are welcome to attend these training sessions that will be held at Butler Park cricket nets.

WOOLWORTHS CRICKET BLAST { FORMALLY MILO CRICKET} will once again be run for younger boys and girls aged 5 – 8 years of age. This is a great starting point for young children to develop co-ordination, cricket skills and to have some fun. It would great to see the older kids progressing from Woolworths cricket blast to junior cricket on Saturday mornings. For further details contact Paul Britton on 0419 476 210.

All help is gratefully accepted and the Junior Cricket Committee welcomes comments and assistance from all of our supporters.
